Nursan Celik is a postdoctoral researcher at the Cluster of Excellence 2020: “Temporal Communities: Doing Literature in a Global Perspective“ and a lecturer at the Institute of German Studies at University of Muenster. Prior to that, she was a research assistant and PhD candidate at the Collaborative Research Centre 1385 Law and Literature, where she has worked on a doctoral thesis concerning the licences of fiction. During her PhD, she was an associated member of the Graduate School "Practices of Literature" at University of Muenster, the Graduate School 1767 "Faktuales und fiktionales Erzählen" at University of Freiburg and received a fellowship for the programme „Zia – Visible Women in Science“, funded by Zeit Verlag. She studied German and Philosophy at the University of Kassel and completed internships at the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics in Frankfurt, in the publishing field in Glasgow, and at the Goethe Institute in Paris. She was a Visiting Scholar at King’s College, London, and is co-editor of the journal "Textpraxis. Digital Journal of Philology".

From January to February 2024, Nursan Celik is a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Central, Eastern and Northern European Studies at University of British Columbia, Vancouver, funded by Flexible Funds at Freie Universität Berlin.

Jahrhundert)” and which aims at a comprehensive diachronic investigation of literary scandals in German literature, ranging from 18th to 19th century.
