Patty Nash received her BA in comparative literature from the University of Oregon, followed by an MFA in literary translation at the University of Iowa and an MFA in poetry from the Iowa Writers' Workshop, where she was awarded the Iowa Arts Fellowship and Truman Capote Fellowship. In October 2023, she began her doctoral studies at the Friedrich Schlegel Graduate School of Literary Studies and the EXC 2020, where she is writing her dissertation on "Sound Institutions: Audio Poetry Recording in Germany and the United States, 1914–2024". Her first book of poems, Walden Pond, was published with Thirdhand Books in August 2024.
