Charlotte Johanna Rauth has been working as philologist, editor and literary mediator. She studied German Philology, Cultural Sciences and Business Economics at the University of Mannheim and University of Hildesheim, with a primary focus on lexical semantics and German literature around 1900. After receiving her MA, she assisted in and soon headed the communications department of the international literature festival berlin, whose publications she managed and co-edited for several years.

Under the cooperation agreement between the Friedrich Schlegel Graduate School of Literary Studies (FSGS) and EXC 2020, Rauth is concurrently a doctoral candidate at FSGS and a member of Research Area 4: Literary Currencies (since 2025).
