Hannah Schünemann is a dramaturge and scholar of literature and theatre. She has been working as a research assistant at the Cluster of Excellence "Temporal Communities" since October 2021, where she is pursuing her PhD on radical formal languages in contemporary theatre under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Doris Kolesch. Hannah studied General and Comparative Literature and Theatre Studies in Munich (LMU) and Paris (Université Paris-Sorbonne IV). She completed her MA at the Freie Universität Berlin and the École normale supérieure Paris in 2016 with a thesis on ruptures in understanding in the work of Peter Szondi, Jacques Derrida and Paul Celan. From 2017 to 2020 Hannah worked at the Volksbühne Berlin, most recently as a dramaturge with Mette Ingvartsen, Tim Etchells, Trajal Harrell, Bonn Park, Pınar Karabulut, Lucia Bihler and Susanne Kennedy, among others. Since the end of 2020, she has been working with the Performing Arts Festival Berlin and the Stückemarkt of the Berlin Theatertreffen, and has collaborated with the director Marie Schleef.
