Luca Lil Wirth received her BA in German, Art History and Philosophy as well as her MA in German from Freie Universität Berlin. She has worked as a mentor and tutor for students and as a student assistant at the Institute of German and Dutch Languages and Literatures by Prof. Jutta Müller-Tamm and Prof. Friederike Günther.

Her Master’s thesis focused on text-image relationships in parodies of early modern astronomic writings of the 16th century, using the example of Johann Fischart and Johann Christoph Artopoeus.

Since October 2021 Luca Lil Wirth is a member of both the Friedrich Schlegel Graduate School of Literary Studies and the EXC "Temporal Communities", where she works as a doctoral researcher on the project "Arts of Memory", Research Area 1: "Competing Communities".

Current research includes an EXC 2020 project, The Obscene in Early Modern Literature (2021-).
