In episode six of the series, Cluster member Anouk Luhn and the poet Uljana Wolf discuss, among other things, subversion and circulation, fluid and shapeshifting speech, grammatical magic and aesthetic unruliness.

After the Poem | Nach dem Gedicht is a podcast initiated by the research project AfterWords. Positioning German Poetry in the 20th Century and Beyond at the Freie Universität Berlin and the University of Oxford, in cooperation with the Haus für Poesie. Featuring conversations with poets, translators and literary scholars about the significance of not being the first, it tackles the question of whether there is a specifically lyric mode of posterity. How do writers engage with the poems that came before them? How does a lyrical text change when it is translated or transferred to a new medium, and thus suddenly becomes posterior to itself? And what do tradition, canonicity and the dazzling category of the literary 'afterlife' have to do with all this? Each episode invites a guest to bring along a poem, which is then used as a basis to explore what forms 'afterness' can take – and what it actually means to follow in the footsteps of someone or something.
