Errol Boon is a doctoral candidate in Philosophy at Freie Universität Berlin and Leiden University (Centre for Continental Philosophy). He is a board member of the Dutch Society for Aesthetics and a research fellow of het Berlin University Alliance. After he obtained his BA and MA in Philosophy from the University of Amsterdam, he worked as a tenured lecturer at the University of the Arts Utrecht, an assistant lecturer at the University of Amsterdam and as a researcher and curator in the Dutch art sector. He was a visiting researcher at the University of Oxford, Royal Netherlands Institute in Rome, the Van Doesburg House in Paris, the Netherlands Institute in Athens and the University Institute for Art History in Florence.

Boon is a doctoral candidate at the Friedrich Schlegel Graduate School of Literary Studies (FSGS) and an associated researcher at EXC 2020 (since 2025).
