Errol Boon is a doctoral candidate in Philosophy at Freie Universität Berlin and Leiden University (Centre for Continental Philosophy). He is a board member of the Dutch Society for Aesthetics and founder of the international research group Aesthetica Prima Philosophia. Before commencing his PhD, he worked as a tenured lecturer at the University of the Arts Utrecht, an assistant lecturer at the University of Amsterdam and as a researcher and curator for various institutes in the Dutch art sector. Having obtained his BA and MA in Philosophy from the University of Amsterdam, he was a visiting researcher at the Royal Netherlands Institute in Rome, the Van Doesburg House in Paris, the Netherlands Institute in Athens and the Dutch University Institute for Art History in Florence.
Boon is a doctoral candidate at the Friedrich Schlegel Graduate School of Literary Studies (FSGS) and an associated researcher at EXC 2020 (since 2025).
