Ansgar Riedißer received a BA in German Studies from the University of Leipzig and an MA in Comparative Literature from Freie Universität Berlin with a thesis on the concept of 'flow' in the reception of John Ashbery.

Under the cooperation agreement between the Friedrich Schlegel Graduate School of Literary Studies (FSGS) and EXC 2020, Riedißer is concurrently a doctoral candidate at FSGS and a member of Research Area 4: Literary Currencies (since 2025).
