Kendrick Rowan received his BA from University of Greenwich London in English Language and Literature and his MA in English Studies: Literature, Language, and Culture from Freie Universität Berlin.

His Master's thesis concerned Chaucer's Troilus and Criseyde and the reinterpretation and re-formation of the Trojan myth and was entitled 'The Reformed Text: Troilus and Criseyde and the Spectre of History'.

Since October 2021 Kendrick Rowan is a member of both the Friedrich Schlegel School of Literary Studies as well as the EXC "Temporal Communities", where he works as a doctoral researcher on the project "Imperial Fictions", Research Area 3: "Future Perfect".

Current research includes an EXC 2020 project, Time Travelled: The Alexander Romance and Generative Temporality (2021-).
