Organised by Barbara Bausch, project Reading Reading. On an Aesthetic Practice (2024–), Research Area 4: "Literary Currencies" in cooperation with the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program.
Workshop with and by Kinga Tóth.
For about 15 years, the visual and sound poet Kinga Tóth has been making performances, in which she 'sings' visual works by responding with vocal gestures to filmed and projected graphic poems and drawings, understanding these interpretations of her visual poetry as three-dimensional 'living text bodies' simply as 'readings'. In the workshop, we ask, how such an individual practice can become collective. Can we read images as a group, decode a drawing and then sing it? How can a drawing connect us and lead us to a collective creation process? Can we perhaps even come to a common reading together in which we can find pleasure, which we can feel as our own, as a common one? The aim of this workshop is to build bridges between languages and reading practices and to celebrate the creation, the sounding together.
This event is part of the format "Reading Reading: IL/LEGIBLE".
